City lawyer Donald Kipkorir argues Babu Owino stands a high chance of retaining his parliamentary seat if he appeals the courts ruling on his August 8 election win.

The lawyer argued, If Babu chose to appeal the Courts ruling; the judgment would be overruled.

"Have now read in full the 63 page Judgment nullifying the Election Of my friend Babu Owino. The Judge nullified the results on mainly two grounds: Violence in one Polling Station out of 207 Stations & intimidation of the RO.If appealed, the Judgment will be overturned," tweeted Kipkorir

An earlier report by NAIEXPOSE.co.ke indicated that in the ruling, High Court Judge Joseph Sergon noted Babu’s election was marred by massive irregularities as well as violence.

Sergon claimed Babu's intimidation and harassment of the returning officer compromised the outcome of the election. He was further ordered to pay KSh5 million in costs. KSh2.5 million will be given to the petitioner, Francis Mureithi while the rest to the IEBC. The embattled MP had asked the court to quash the petition, saying small errors could not be used to nullify his election
