These cases are however rampant only in some areas. A not so well off landlord will not listen to excuses twice. People paying house rents of below 10,000 are the most affected. Most of these houses are owned by landlords who are still paying loans and also frustrated.
It’s so hard to find an agent in areas like Runda or Kilimani doing such things. They are respectful and know the kind of tenants they have. On the other hand, tenants living in houses of less than 15,000 are perceived to be poor and lack basic knowledge of how to fight or their rights.
