High court Judge George Odunga has ordered unconditional release of NRMKe general Miguna Miguna earlier today. Reading the ruling, the judge added that Miguna had court orders protecting him from any arrests, deportation or any form of harassment from the Kenyan Government.

“Having considered the issues raised before me, the matter before me is no longer a dispute between the parties but a matter of the court,” Odunga said.

Judge Odinga also ordered Police Boss Mr Boinnet and Interior Defence CS Matiang’i to appear before court on Thursday 10:00 am for sentencing. The Judge added that the two were in contempt of court for refusing to release Miguna.

“The respondents are contemptuous and they are convicted accordingly. They should appear before this court at 10am for sentencing.”

The two refused to produce Miguna for hearing on Wednesday 9:00 am
